Yoga and Pilates Practices Continue to Grow in Popularity and Profitability!

Welcome to the
Weekly Wellness Report
Providing indispensable business tips to today's practitioners!

This week we pay tribute to Yoga and Pilates practitioners and studio owners as our Holistic Highlight:

Worried that you won't be able to get clients in this economy to invest in big-ticket service packages? We know that taking care of one's physical health and mental well being  is not just a pampering treat but an essential investment.  New clients, on the other hand, might need to see some stone cold facts to convince them.  So use this little gem in your next brochure or newsletter!

No one can discount the popularity growth of yoga and pilates over the last 10 years.  First heralded as the secret behind celebrities' taut physiques, yoga and pilates training is now used to treat a myriad of physical concerns and fitness objectives.  In 2007, the number of Americans who joined the mind-body-spirit bandwagon grew just short of 500% - and the growth potential for these popular activities continues to grow exponentially!
According to a Yoga Journal study
  • Some 18.3 million Americans expressed being "extremely interested" in yoga. (Just think how few of these you need to create a thriving business?? The numbers are in your favor!)
  • 72% of U.S. yoga practitioners are female, a drop from the 77% female in 2004, demonstrating that more men are taking up yoga. (A great sign for the growth and heterogeneity of your practice - let BeWell360° find a way to market to male customers NOW!)
  • 44% of U.S. practitioners have an annual household incomes exceeding $75,000 and 24% have more than $100,000. (This means these customers can AFFORD your premium service packages!)
  • Approximately 27% of yoga clients are ages 45-54, and as the aging population looks for low-impact activities that put less strain on their bodies. (Incorporate this demographic into your marketing scheme with special packages and increase your business!)

The great news is that the medical benefits of a yoga or pilates regimen has never been as widely recognized as they are today!  BELIEVE in the strength and importance of your services, and utilize one of our upcoming courses at BeWell360° to help you promote your business and fulfill your DREAM.

Be Well and Prosper,
